Job Description

At our hospices, we aim to provide the best possible service to those requiring end of life care. As part of this, we are looking for a qualified volunteer beauty and relaxation volunteer to pamper our patients by providing hand care, hand massage and facials, and giving them time and attention and making a difference to their lives.

Your role will include some of, but is not restricted to, the following tasks:

• Carry out facial, manicure or pedicure treatments as appropriate ensuring that patients are comfortable at all times
• Consult staff on patients likely to benefit from treatments
• Chat to patients
• Follow a set procedure for treatments as agreed with staff
• Keep the treatment area clean and tidy
• Make arrangements for any subsequent treatments in consultation with Day Services staff
• Help with other related tasks when necessary
