Join our Create and Chat Group as a Facilitator!
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals with a keen interest or expertise in art, music, drama, creative writing, or poetry to facilitate our Create and Chat group. This opportunity can be a long-term role or a one-off 6-week project. The group is open to anyone with or affected by a palliative condition.
Your role will be instrumental in creating a supportive group where individuals with or affected by a palliative condition can use the arts to explore and express issues related to life, loss, and personal experiences.
This volunteer opportunity takes place on Monday mornings
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Your role might include some of the following:
- Facilitating a group
- Bringing expertise and knowledge
- Working with the concept of 'What Matters to you'
- Creating a supportive environment
- Working with outpatients, inpatients, carers and people who are bereaved.
- Creating and facilitating projects
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- People with a creative skill to share and a willingness to teach others.
- Work with different abilities
- Understand that everyone's experience is different.
- Good communication and listening skills
- Can design projects.
VOLUNTEERING REQUIREMENTS:
- Enthusiasm and compassion.
- Someone who is comfortable teaching a group of people.
- Someone who is able to teach art, music, creative writing, poetry or drama.
- Willingness to participate in continued training and learning.
