About The Role

Head of Energy Services - Islington Council PO10 £73,347- £77,157.

Energy Services are a critical part of this, managing and delivering a pipeline of projects, controlling building related energy performance and developing the policies and strategies to support our objectives.

As Head of Energy Services, you will play a pivotal role in meeting the Net Zero Carbon Challenge. As an experience energy professional you will:

• Lead and deliver on the Council's strategic direction on energy and carbon policy, energy management and capital projects.
• Bring innovative approaches to the provision of energy for the Council's own buildings.
• Lead a team in managing a diverse group of over 30 staff providing a range of energy related services including:
  • Award winning Domestic Energy Advice Team
  • Technical Energy Advice to Corporate Landlord.
  • Energy related regulations compliance.
  • Strategic Projects Development/ Delivery.
  • Energy Procurement.

Innovation is key to ensuring we can meet the challenges ahead. With your skills and experience you will be able to harness the opportunities that will enable success and support data driven decision making.

You will be advising senior management and elected members, as such your interpersonal skills and political awareness will be a critical part of your success.
