The Senior Technical Analyst role sits within the Productivity, Identity and Service Management group, which is comprised of 10 team members, ranging from long time veterans, to apprentices and recent internal promotions.

You would be joining the established Identity and Access Management (IDAM) team, a team of four, made up of our Service Delivery Manager, Product Owner, Senior Technical Analyst and Technical Analyst to help drive forward our IDAM function.

You will also have opportunity to input into and shape our Okta and wider IDAM strategy, while delivering key initiatives to continuously improve our service to a wide range of customers, and provide high quality 3rd line support. We work within the wider Digital function of 50 people, which is responsible for a huge range of SaaS services, so there is plenty of opportunity to gain exposure to many other services, processes and systems such as, iPaaS, ITSM, M365 if you wish.

Responsibilities include:

  • Deploying applications for SSO i.e., SAML, OIDC, etc.
    • O365 Federation
    • Custom SSO applications
  • Managing Security policies, i.e., Identity providers, Authentication policies
    • Okta user management, i.e., Password resets/unlocking, Okta User Profile configuration, Groups and group rules
    • Okta Workflow configuration and management
    • Experience reviewing Okta system logs to support troubleshooting and user issues.
    • Directory integrations i.e., AD, AAD, other IDAM solutions.
    • Working with Okta API's
  • Contribute and participate in project work and platform changes.
  • Retain a proactive awareness and knowledge across the Okta platform and wider IDAM landscape .

To do this role well you will need:

  • Demonstrable experience in supporting Okta infrastructure, or similar IDAM SaaS platform
  • Proven experience around general IDAM principles and processes
  • Knowledge or experience around RBAC principles
  • Previous experience of supporting a large user base of clients, which may have differing needs or goals
  • Knowledge and experience of making recommendations and implementing improvements
  • Ability to multi-task and to prioritise effectively, with an aptitude for knowing when issues need escalating
  • Stakeholder management experience, at all levels within an organisation.
  • Educated to at least GCE A level, SCE Higher grade (or equivalent qualifications) or proven comparable work experience

To be considered, you will need to successfully obtain BPSS before commencing the role, obtaining clearance usually takes 5-10 working days.

UKSBS does not hold a Home Office Sponsor Licence under the UK Immigration System, therefore applicants must have eligibility to live and work in the UK at application stage.

Working pattern

This role is available on a Full Time basis, working Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week. Core hours are between 8:30 - 17:30.
