Senior Product/UX Designer
This job is brought to you by Jobs/Redefined, the UK's leading over-50s age inclusive jobs board.
Our, small-but-mighty, design team is made up of versatile designers who have and are constantly developing and broadening their skill sets and deepening their process knowledge. You'll have the chance to work with like-minded individuals who are passionate about design and user experience. We value personality over work experience and are looking for team members to join a friendly work environment.
As a Senior Product Designer at SeedLegals you will be involved in all stages of the product development process, from brainstorming business challenges and concepts right through to iterating fidelity of the UI up to launch. You'll be responsible for the strategy and approach to the creation of digital products, whilst having a holistic view of the product in order to make key and insightful decisions.
We like people who take the initiative - so we'll expect you to know how to tackle a problem, when and how to talk to users, get in and mingle with the rest of the business to dig up the information you need - and of course when to say "I'm not sure - let's brain-storm this" .
Please make sure you send your portfolio and a cover letter with your application.
Requirements
We'd love to hear from you if you have some of the following...
- You have at least 6 years working commercially within end-to-end Product Design roles, from user research through to the creation of prototypes
- You are experienced and can demonstrate good UX practices: user journeys, personas, lo-fi to hi-fi wireframing, etc.
- You have a strong sense of design - you may be more than a little bit pixel obsessed
- You have worked product-side, embedded within agile product teams
- You have a portfolio that demonstrates an understanding of commercial objectives as well as first class design solutions for end-user problems
- You are experienced in data-driven design methodologies
- Figma and Protopie are no strangers
- You love solving challenging problems
- Have practical experience in employing a range of tools and techniques to solve design problems for end-users
- Are a good listener and communicator - able to build working dynamics and relationships that facilitate discussion and collaboration
And if you can hit one or two of these as well, even better...
- Feel comfortable translating business requirements into intuitive designs
- Are able to conduct user research to derive actionable insights that inform and/or validate the design direction
- Are able to work independently on a team and make decisions, with plenty of support
- Experience in SaaS and/or Web Apps
