Sales Manager - London UK - Hybrid
We've just partnered with an established MSP in their recruitment of a Sales Manager - the role has come about due to an increased amount of IC sales people being brought onto the business, they have decided to add a further layer of management to their outfit to increase productivity and maximise revenues.
Initially being brought on to lead a team of 6 Account Managers, you would be involved in strategy and hiring with the SLT so they need you to be collaborative, come with ideas, and really shape this role into your own.
You would be individual contributing to some capacity also, you will be untargeted but given a small number of the companies largest account which will net you some commission along side the team target comms.
Responsibilities:
- Drive revenue growth though organic sales and from cross-sell and up-sell into the existing customer base
- Tracking the progress, and driving the achievement of the sales team against the overall sales targets .
- Work with the sales team to grow the sales pipeline to ensure sufficient coverage to hit target.
- Work with the sales team to establish KPIs and drive the achievement of these.
- Developing and implementing new sales initiatives, strategies and programmes to drive revenue generation
- Providing regular reporting information on sales performance, pipeline coverage, key deals, etc.
- Working with key vendors to drive sales, improve margin and collaborate on sales campaigns
- Retain and develop business volume and improve the profitability of accounts.
- Identify and execute business strategies that contribute to the success of the key metrics of the position - retention, renewals, referenceability, utilisation/adoption, contractual compliance, and opportunities for expansion
- Demonstrate a thoughtful understanding of insightful industry knowledge in relation to initiatives, trends, and triggers
Person, Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of experience with leading business development, sales, or account management teams.
- Proven track record in managing and coaching sales teams.
- Strong knowledge of IT Solutions. For example, on-premiss, hybrid and cloud hosting solutions, Azure cloud migration services, Microsoft product development, application support, voice solutions, data management and hardware sales and maintenance.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Ability to analyse market trends, competition, and sales data to inform sales strategy
- Highly organised and solution oriented.
- Detail-oriented and able to prioritise.
- Highly driven, focused and committed with a proven track record of consistent sales achievement
- Positive "can do" attitude, sense of urgency and strong desire to be successful
- Ability to operate in a high velocity, metrics driven sales organisation
- Ability to build and sustain trust among colleagues and customers of various levels at any organization colleagues
- Proven ability to work independently member of a team with flexibility to adapt and manage change effective in an ever-changing environment
