We're the charity who look after and bring to life 2,000 miles of waterways across England and Wales, because we believe that life is better by water.
The Trust was launched in 2012, taking over the guardianship of British Waterways’ canals, rivers, reservoirs and docks in England and Wales.
We work hard to maintain their legacy, and, together with our volunteers and communities across England and Wales, we’re transforming them into spaces where anyone can come to feel happier and healthier. A back garden for almost nine million people across the UK, our waterways provide opportunities for people to spend time in nature. We offer a variety of roles across the Trust and every role plays its part in transforming our canals and rivers into spaces where local people want to spend time and feel better, bringing wellbeing benefits to millions.
