Who we're looking for
An experienced asset management professional with a sound understanding of front-to-back investment lifecycle ideally in the private markets to contribute to the evolution and success of a new strategic relationship. You will possess strong relationship management skills, able to demonstrate a proactive and organised approach and work collaboratively with both colleagues and external parties to strengthen communication. You will need good knowledge of commercial issues, understand the Asset Management business, and have experience in running governance meetings, trouble-shooting issues and promoting transparency of service delivery.

The team
You will lead the relationship management for a key group joint venture on behalf of the Schroders group companies and your performance will be measured amongst other things specifically on your support to the provision of shared services to this business. As part of a new relationship management and governance framework that you will help embed to discharge your responsibilities, you will be supported by a named executive sponsor who will also serve as the group-level strategic owner of the relationship influencing key decisions and acting as the ultimate escalation point. Working collaboratively in small team environment, you will be encouraged to contribute your ideas and energy to support the new business.
What you'll do
• Monitor the service delivery of Corporate Shared Services from central functions within the Schroders Group
• Actively facilitate the adequate provision of Operational shared services including services provided by third party service providers.
• Ensure all service-related data (KPIs and feedback) are both correctly and centrally sourced and stored;
• Chair and run the Monthly Management meeting taking minutes in rotation with the Relationship Manager designate on the other team..
• Oversight and management of team email box, used for both internal and external queries.
• Act as an escalation point for shared services, as agreed from time to time with the Business Leads.
• Manage changes to the service provision arising out of commercial decisions or regulatory requirements.
• Support annual review of service costs to accommodate for changes to effort and complexity of services provided.
• Support identification of risks, record them and escalate where appropriate.
• Ensure all policies and procedures relevant to your role are regularly reviewed and kept up to date and
• Assist with any process improvements, ensure operating guidelines are met and controls are adhered to.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
• Educated to a degree level.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in Asset Management overall with 3-5 years of operations / relationship management experience.
• Excellent inter-personal and organizational skills with the ability to communicate internally with senior business heads and externally with service providers as may be necessary.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proficiency to write minutes and create reports and presentations.
