Role Description:

Booking.com is currently looking for an outstanding Privacy Program Manager to join the Marketing Strategy and Operations team, within Regulatory Remediation, to lead the delivery remediation and regulatory implementation initiatives. The Privacy Program Manager will work closely with stakeholders from across different business units or functions, either individually or in groups, to support the efficient and timely delivery of regulatory programs, and assist the marketing department in achieving its compliance objectives.

As the Privacy Program Manager you will be required to have specific privacy, governance and exceptional program management skills and experience.

As a Program Manager, you will coordinate, run and deliver diverse complex business critical initiatives that may span across different domains and multiple departments. Program managers deliver change as per agreed timelines and budgets. They work closely with people of diverse functional backgrounds, and participate in every phase of the program lifecycle from initiation to handover to operations.

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:

Craft Methodology and Standards:

  • Lead best practice behaviors within [the Department] and be an ambassador for Project Management methodology by contributing to company adoption Program Management standards across the company

E2E program Management

  • Lead independently End-to-end (E2E) complex programs from initiation to completion as well as bringing clarity to sponsor, teams and stakeholders by defining and documenting program objectives, requirements and success criteria, KPIs, roadmap/E2E planning, risk and dependencies, cost estimates and in general program deliverables.

Program Implementation and Completion

  • Drive Program plan execution, ensuring Program objectives are met on agreed timelines. Brings programs to completion ensuring seamless launch and smooth handover to operation and ultimately supervising and reporting status and progress of all streams of work, identifying and highlighting where required, risk/issues/dependencies to governance groups or team members/groups. Build plans and actions to mitigate/solve risks, issues and/or dependencies.

Program Governance

  • Design and implement Portfolio's governance ensuring clarity on accountability, efficient communication and decision making as well as design and implement efficient cross-organisational structures and mechanisms to ensure the program reaches its goals and objectives.
  • Can connect the dots and identify synergies, opportunities and risks/dependencies across projects and able to elevate them at the program level where appropriate

Stakeholder Management

  • Primary point of contact for the program related queries. Maintain high-level of engagement among geographically-diverse stakeholders through social channels, email, facilitation & setup of virtual meetings & classroom settings, as well as individual in-person meetings. Ability to work and efficiently interact with different stakeholders up to Sr Director Level

Success Metrics

  • Define and measure the success metrics of the Program(s) in scope and lead independently workshops to support the delivery of the Program(s)

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong project management skills/experience including experience with a range of different methodologies and techniques. Preferably having a background in Agile Project management(Kanban, Scrum, SAFE), PMI/ Prince certification and / or LEAN.
  • Relevant Privacy Qualifications (IAPP, CIPP/E, CIPM) and 8+ years of proven experience with a Bachelor degree or equivalent level of education.
  • Solid business understanding, independently use quantitative and qualitative data to drive decision making by having the ability to tell a clear story with data/insights.
  • Change Management experience at program level
  • Strong interpersonal skills passionate about collaboration. Building and maintaining lasting relationships and connections with diverse teams, across the organization and outside. Ability to work optimally and influence at Director and Senior Director level
  • Be able to lead, motivate, and lead stakeholders and project/program teams to achieve organizational goals. They also should be able to influence and steer leadership, senior management and groups. Challenge assumptions and ability to adapt or generate imaginative and innovative ideas
  • Ability to solve complex problems independently. They are able to break up a complex problem into actionable and easy to understand solutions. They are hands on and drive solutions to problems in partnership with the involved parties, while focusing on the opportunities.
