We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager, who will relish the opportunity to establish a robust finance function within our rapidly growing business.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. You'll have strong financial acumen, excellent communication skills, and a passion for driving business success through robust financial management. As Finance Manager, you'll report directly to the CEO and the COO, as well as working closely with the senior leadership team. You'll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, from planning and budgeting to reporting and compliance. Your strategic insights and attention to detail will ensure we continue to make good financial decisions that align with our growth objectives.
Essential Experience
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
- 3+ years' experience in a Finance Manager or similar role, ideally within IT, SaaS, or professional services.
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and financial compliance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Dext, Xero Accounting or similar cloud-based finance software
- Microsoft 365 with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power BI are experience desirable.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Introduce efficient and accurate financial governance and reporting through our use of Xero Accounting and other key platforms.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimise costs and enhance financial efficiency with a focus on gross margins and net profit.
- Track and analyse key financial metrics, including cash flow, profitability, and expenditure, to provide actionable insights to the business.
- Presenting and advising on the financial impacts of decision making.
- Regular sales invoicing in conjunction with our Project Delivery team.
- Manage end to end financial processes including management reporting, payroll, receivables.
- Management and processing of staff expenses through Dext.
- Build commercial pricing models for our products and services.
- Prepare and manage all payments to HMRC including PAYE, VAT, P11Ds, Corporation Tax, R&D Tax Credits.
- Handle sensitive and personal information in line with confidentiality guidelines.
