The team

This role sits within the Client Strategy and Commercial Marketing teams within the wider Commercial Division, which is responsible for bringing in c£2bn of advertising revenue.

Client Strategy and Planning works with ITV's advertisers to support in the planning, implementation and measurement of their campaigns, across airtime, video on demand and partnerships. The team is responsible for much of ITV Commercial's thought leadership, which is marketed through events / webinars, and through comms channels including our b2b website ITV Media, LinkedIn and trade PR.

As the team's remit has developed so too have the number and complexity of projects with which we are involved.

As Delivery Controller you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of projects across the team. This could involve anything from running the annual budget and planning process to ensuring we have an efficient way to surface client case studies, to delivering a key piece of thought leadership. You will also have direct responsibility for overseeing our commercial marketing team, which comprises 2 marketing managers and a Marketing Assistant and working closely with our Experiences team to deliver key events.

The role

  • Lead cross-functional teams from Client Strategy, Sales, Marketing, Pitch Development, Insight and other external and internal partners to deliver key projects including (but not limited to) annual team planning, delivery of thought leadership pieces, KPI tracking and reporting, case study development, development of sales literature/ support for insight and measurement products
  • Devise, and oversee successful delivery of, the annual commercial marketing plan including key events, thought leadership, ITV Media website, LinkedIn and other owned channels
  • Line management of 2 x marketing managers, 1 x marketing exec
  • Work with other senior team members to develop ways of working which streamline project delivery, removing complexity and encouraging working practices that enable things to be done quickly and efficiently.
  • Responsible for overseeing budget management across the team - incl business case and tracking of spend - across research, measurement innovation and marketing
  • Manage relevant relationships with key suppliers

Skills you'll need (minimum criteria)

  • Excellent stakeholder management /relationship building skills - proven at working with a wide range of stakeholders and managing different needs and expectations in a matrixed organisation
  • Has experience of working an advertising/media agency with strong understanding of how advertising works to create business outcomes for clients
  • Experience of developing thought leadership in marketing/advertising/branding
  • Strong line management/ team leadership
  • Proven ability to develop effective but flexible ways of working designed to empower teams to deliver to tight deadlines
  • Managing budgets effectively

  • Experience in TV and / or b2b marketing
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects/campaigns.
  • Demonstrates an adaptable approach and is able to flex their style depending on the need.
  • Learns quickly from both successes and failures and can pivot and adjust plans to respond.
