About the Role:

We are seeking an accomplished candidate with a passion for shaping the future of research and innovation within a new institution, ARU Peterborough. The main objective of the role is to support the creation of the inaugural ARU Peterborough Research and Knowledge Exchange Strategic Plan. This entails working alongside the Peterborough Executive Group to develop a delivery plan, define key performance indicators (KPIs), and assist in its successful implementation. As Senior Development Lead, you will have the responsibility, working closely with stakeholders to identify and capitalise on opportunities for collaboration and funding. In addition, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing a dynamic and emerging research environment, ensuring that our institution develops in line with our mission.

We are searching for an exceptional individual with a proven track record in research management and a deep understanding of the evolving policy landscape and the opportunities this might offer Peterborough. With a relevant Honours degree/professional qualification and a PhD or Professional Doctorate, the ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, capable of inspiring and guiding colleagues towards achieving impactful outcomes. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be required to liaise effectively with internal and external partners on a range of key initiatives. Furthermore, a commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion within the research community is paramount, as we strive to create an environment that celebrates and embraces diverse perspectives.

We are a campus-based community and regular interaction with campus is an expectation of all roles, with your primary base being in Peterborough. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements. Please note that the post-holder will be required to travel to other sites and overseas as necessary.
