We have an exciting opportunity for a Regional General Manager. The primary purpose of the role is to take full leadership, operational and financial responsibility for managing safe, efficient, and profitable sites for DHL and the customer.

• Lead by example to reinforce behaviours associated with our culture (e.g. Respect & Results, Continuous Improvement, Employee Engagement) and lead a culture where people give and receive feedback in a constructive and productive manner making DHL an exceptional place to work.
• Ensure the KPI's (e.g. customer KPI's and DSC H&S KPI's) are maintained to the required level and lead initiatives to continuously improve, ensuring the sites report data accurately and on time.
• Establish annual and multi-year priorities and growth targets for each site. Focused on customer cost control, nailing the basics, and supporting growth.
• Lead commercial reviews with the customers (growth and renewal) affecting all the sites and develop customer relationships year-on-year to ensure customer retention and loyalty.
• Lead the overall approach to resource planning and management, direct reports are recruited, assessed, trained and resources are planned to meet the forecasted volumes and managed to achieve optimum performance within budget and the organisational structure is lean and efficient.
• Provide leadership for the sites in assessing potential, developing talent and succession planning.
• Identify and share best practice about ways to improve effectiveness and efficiency of all sites; ensure this is integrated into Site Development Plans and engage peers to share best practice between sectors and products.

• Proven ability to drive engagement with staff, and work closely with the HR Business Partner to improve site engagement and improve EOS scores.
• Previous experience in managing large scale logistics and warehouse operations.
• Experience in Transport operations, ideally within store/retail deliveries.
• Capability of planning, defining, and deploying strategic plans.
• Leadership skills, experience in managing several reporting layers below.
• Ability to manage multiple sites and travel between them, locations are Hatfield, Reading and Avonmouth.
