Overview:

The job holder will perform second line of defence activities in conjunction with the Director, Regulatory Compliance. The role is required to develop and execute the compliance assurance plan as well as providing support and guidance to the business where required. The role will also deputise for the Director, Regulatory Compliance where necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the compliance assurance plan in conjunction with the Director, Regulatory Compliance.
  • Make recommendations to enhance and improve the Compliance function; recommend changes to procedures where relevant to ensure full compliance with associated legislation, guidance or best practice in relation to e-money.
  • Prepare MI and findings reports for presentation to relevant parties, including the Board, and management teams;
  • Represent Compliance at meetings where compliance related activities are required, discussed etc.;
  • Support the Director, Regulatory Compliance in identifying compliance related issues and matters that could have bearing on the AML/CTF Risk Assessment as well as other compliance related topics;
  • Within the second line of defence work, undertake transaction monitoring and/or processing screening alerts referred to Compliance by the EMI firm, Agents or Distributors;
  • In conjunction with the Director, Regulatory Compliance develop and deliver compliance related activities and training where required. Provide feedback into other areas training material where compliance related activities might be required;
  • Deputise for the Director, Regulatory Compliance where required and in his/her absence

Qualifications:

  • Professional qualification in Compliance;
  • 2-3 years-experience in a Compliance role in Financial Services. Experience in a Payment Institution/Electronic Money Institution would be preferable
  • Good communication skills and presentation delivery skills required
