HR Advisor

Job Description:

ROLE PURPOSE

The purpose of this role is to Partner with the People Leaders in the CXM service line to successfully guide them through the employee life cycle and implement HR Projects. This role is a critical business enabler for CXM and will play a key role in the success of the UK CXM People Plan.

Reporting to the HR Business Partner, the role will be responsible for HR Project implementation across the service line and the cyclical employee activities. The role will be aligned to key Practice Areas within CXM which will allow strong advisory skills to be developed while working with the HR Team to progress our People Plan.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide support, guidance, and advice to line managers within the business, on all People related matters, in a professional and timely manner (as 2nd line support).
  • Work collaboratively with all areas of the HR function to deliver an exceptional HR service to the business.
  • To support the Practice Area and HR Business Partner with key projects and challenges through implementation of new initiatives.
  • Use Data Insights to help make recommendations, in collaboration with the CXM HR Team.
  • Design and lead the delivery of People Leader development (including training modules for newly promoted leaders).
  • Lead talent planning activities with People leaders to develop a focus across the business, creating succession plans to increase internal mobility
  • Develop meaningful relationships as a trusted HR partner using people metrics (e.g. performance, engagement, absence, retention data) to drive better business results.
  • Delivery of HR projects, on time, within budget that drive engagement within the organisation.
  • Be the 2nd line support for relevant HR queries from the HR Operations team and escalate as required (to HR Business Partner and/or HR Director).
  • Lead on coordination of complex people matters by enlisting support for the relevant Specialism.
  • Be a key advocate for positive change and radical collaboration.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • The Successful applicant will be a strong relationship builder, confident and pragmatic, with the ability to quickly get to know the people and get things done in an ambiguous and self-starting environment.

Essential requirements:

  • Proven experience in HR advisory role (ideally 12 months+) with well-rounded capability across the full HR spectrum
  • Strong understanding of employee relations (including capability and disciplinary processes, conducting probationary reviews and terminations, occupational health submissions, reasonable adjustment support/implementation, flexible working request handling, absence management/wellbeing case management)
  • Sound knowledge and experience with the following centre of excellence cyclical processes: Talent Development, Engagement, Reward, Global Mobility and Benefits.
  • Strong business acumen who seeks opportunities to drive change
  • Intellectual agility, good quality judgement and collaborative skills
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills, with proven ability to draw insights from data
  • A passion for people engagement that prompts exploration and idea generation

Desirable requirements:

  • TUPE experience
  • An interest in or currently working towards CIPD Level 5.
  • Mental health certification e.g. mental Health First Aider.
