If you were to join us as a Vehicle Preparation Assistant, here is what you want to know.

  • Salary: £12.10 per hour plus bonus
  • Location: Sheffield
  • Shift pattern: 5 over 7, This will include the weekends as we are a 7-day retail business
  • Hours: 42.5 hrs per week
  • Contract type: Permanent

About the role

If you have a passion for cars, love managing a detailed and service-led process and enjoy working as part of a fast-paced and energetic team you may have found your ideal job!

You will be an integral part of our front-of-house team, ensuring our ordered cars meet our Motorpoint Quality Standard and making sure our cars on display catch the eye of our customers. You will work closely with both sales and back-of-house teams to make sure our customers are wowed by our stock and drive home happy.

Working closely with colleagues and customers, you will manage your work via an app that creates a computer-based list to work from and facilitate the collection of vehicles in a timely and efficient manner. You will complete basic mechanical maintenance as and when required.

What will my day look like

  • Ensuring the presentation of ordered cars meets Motorpoint's Quality Standard requirements
  • Moving ordered vehicles from the preparation team to our customer collection area
  • You will be responsible for the upkeep of the cars on the forecourt, removing and replenishing the cars on display, once you've checked that they meet our Motorpoint Quality Standard
  • Ensuring the cars on the forecourt are displayed and organised correctly, keeping the customer needs and experience in mind
  • On a daily basis you will be checking vehicles for damage, checking all vehicle specification and service history and completing inspection data
  • This is a fast-paced role so the ability to stay calm and maintain excellent attention to detail as well as the desire to produce high-quality work is really important
  • Support with the recondition of vehicles and the preparation for collection and pitch
  • High attention to detail is required to detect and rectify any issues outside of our standard

  • Due to the nature of the role, you will need a full, clean driving licence
