Towpath Team Volunteer (River Weaver Towpath Taskforce)

Our Towpath Taskforce group meets every month at various locations along the River Weaver, often at the lockside and sometimes along the towpath. We usually meet 10am to 2.30pm on the first Thursday of each month. We tackle litter, cut back overgrown vegetation, paint locks, mend towpaths, repair fencing and many other related tasks. All tools and equipment will be provided, as will tea and coffee, just bring some lunch.

Exact locations and meeting points are sent in advance of each session once you sign up below, and this webpage is updated.

Next session Thursday 6th March- You should of received an email invitation with the details of joining us at Saltersford lock.

Towpath Taskforce role roles offers a great way to meet other local Trust volunteers and staff, learn new skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities, or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.

There are no formal skills required and you have the chance to volunteer across lots of unique and beautiful environments.
