About the role

This role requires an individual with excellent IT skills who is able to process and make decisions quickly. They must have excellent knowledge of legislation and guidance. The successful candidate will be a strong leader with a proven record of good leadership.

The Team Manager role in the Single Point of Access will support the day to day running of the team, in addition to liaising with partners to improve our relationships and increase the understanding of how the Single Point of Access works, an experienced social worker qualified manager who will be supervised by the Associate Director. The Associate Director will have accountability for threshold and safeguarding decisions. The Team Manager will provide supervision to the various roles within the team, including Assistant Team Managers, Social Workers, Contact Information Officers, and Business Support Officers.

There will be a requirement for the post holder to take part in the out of hours Emergency Duty Manager rota.

About you

To be a Team Manager for AfC, you will be passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people. To be successful in the role you will need to demonstrate:

  • You are able to further develop the service

  • You have the knowledge and experience of statutory frameworks; policy and procedure; and best practice

In addition we expect all of our social workers to have:

  • A full and valid driving licence and access to own transport
  • A professional social work qualification, CQSW or Diploma in Social Work (DipSW), or other relevant qualification recognised by Social Work England.
  • An active Social Work England registration.
