About The Role

Are you passionate about people achieving their potential, enjoying quality of life and maintaining good wellbeing as they age? This is a new and exciting opportunity to use your leadership and programme management skills. You will drive collaborative partnerships across local authority, health and community sectors to achieve health and wellbeing outcomes with and for Islington residents.

Context

You will lead workstreams across the council and the wider system to deliver on our strategic commitments to become both an Age Friendly Community and a Dementia inclusive borough.

We want Islington to be recognised by our residents as an age friendly borough, that is a welcoming place to grow old in, enabling people to age well and live a good later life.

We want Islington to be a place where residents are supported on the dementia journey; from prevention to diagnosis through to end of life.

You will make this vision a reality.

To make this happen, you will develop excellent and productive working relationships with residents, carers, partners including departments across the council, providers from the NHS, private, voluntary and community sectors to coproduce our offer.

You will identify creative opportunities for strategic partnerships and collaborations, optimising resources to achieve our aims.

We are looking for a skilled communicator, with the ability to promote our vision across the borough, influence senior stakeholders, garnering commitment, and hold partners to account

Candidates for the role should have relevant programme management experience within a local authority or other relevant environment and possess a strong understanding of Integrated Care Systems.
