Site Manager

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee substation construction and maintenance projects. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, safely, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. This role requires a proactive leader with a strong background in substation projects and relevant certifications, including NRSWA Streetworks and SHEA Power.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management:
Oversee the daily operations on substation construction and maintenance projects.
Ensure projects are completed within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Liaise with stakeholders, including contractors, utility providers, and local authorities.
Site Supervision:
Coordinate site activities and manage subcontractors and site staff.
Monitor and enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to project plans and specifications.
Health & Safety:
Ensure all team members comply with HSE regulations and company policies.
Prepare and review risk assessments, method statements, and permits to work.
Maintain a safe working environment and report incidents or near-misses promptly.
Compliance & Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily diaries, progress reports, and quality documentation.
Ensure compliance with local authority requirements and industry standards.
Coordinate with utility providers and manage streetworks in line with NRSWA regulations.
Key Requirements
Qualifications:
NRSWA Streetworks Supervisor Certificate - essential.
SHEA Power Certificate - essential.
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) - preferred.
CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) - essential.
First Aid at Work certification - desirable.
Experience:
Proven experience managing substation projects.
Familiarity with substation construction and maintenance processes.
Experience with street works and utility coordination.
Skills:
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and resolve conflicts effectively.
Proficient in project planning tools and software.
