Senior Systems & Training Coordinator (Maternity Cover)

Job Introduction

As a Senior Training and Systems Coordinator, you will be required to work both as an individual and a team member. To ensure success, our Senior Training and Systems Coordinator should understand the project operation and decision-making processes with a keen interest in database management and construction / compliance related training.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract (maternity cover)

Role Responsibility

  • Liaising with areas/management and to support annual training plans
  • Assess training needs for new and existing employees
  • Selecting the most appropriate training methods and activities
  • Identify internal and external training programmes to address competency gaps
  • Track and report on training outcomes
  • Maintain employee training records on the training database
  • Selecting the most appropriate training methods and activities
  • Partner with internal stakeholders regarding employee training needs
  • Map out training plans for individual employees
  • Identify internal and external training programmes to address competency gaps
  • Ensure that the training database is maintained and accurate with headcount, movement, and leavers at all times
  • Review and update subcontractor monthly returns
  • Deliver training database training and support to all users as required
  • Produce regular report on competence and any ad hoc reports as required
  • Escalate problems and complaints to the Head of training and onboarding
  • Carryout tasks associated with training set by the Head of training and onboarding as required
  • Monitor and respond to emails and telephone calls in a helpful and positive manner.

  • Highly organised and proficient in MS Office (essential)

  • Experience in a construction industry training environment (essential)

About the Company

The role will work on the HS2 project. HS2 is the UK's new high speed rail network. It will be a catalyst for economic growth across Britain, freeing up space on the existing railways and connecting 8 out of the UK's 10 biggest cities with fast, reliable and frequent high speed services

The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 London Tunnels Contract. Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds.
