Fantastic Job Opportunity for a Senior Support Worker to Join Our Team within CFO.

We're seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker to assist in overseeing the daily performance and activities of our Support Workers team. You'll be responsible for motivating and guiding your staff to maintain high levels of professionalism and exceptional communication skills. Additionally, you will handle line management duties for a small team of Support Workers, focusing on enhancing the quality of service delivery at your hub

We need your expertise to provide inspirational leadership and line manage a team of custodial/community-based Support Workers, overseeing all participant support interventions as part of the CFO Evolution programme. You'll provide safe spaces where offenders can, and importantly are keen to, engage in a range of positive activities designed to foster community buy-in, increase wellbeing, and develop the skills required to navigate through the array of issues that present barriers to successful community reintegration.

In return for your dedication, knowledge, and commitment, we're offering a competitive salary range £33,065 up to £38,900 (dependent on experience) with these great benefits:

Location: Peripatetic
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37 hours a week. Monday to Thursday 8.30 am to 5pm, Friday 8.30 am to 4.30pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Deputise for the Cluster Manager in their absence, to ensure the smooth running of service delivery and provision across community/custody locations.
  • Conduct regular caseload reviews ensuring all Support Workers are working collaboratively within the South West region and with external providers across other regions to support performance outcomes.
  • Oversee the operational management of risk, to provide a safe environment for participants, staff, visitors and the wider community. This includes the timely notification of concerns regarding change in individual risk to the Probation Service and embedding systems and procedures to manage risk that may impact on reputation.
  • Take responsibility for own professional and personal development
  • Develop and embed a high-quality performance culture in which professional standards are upheld and participants enabled to achieve positive change. This includes the quality of assessments, planning, recording, implementation and other strategies to provide the appropriate service and support to participants whilst ensuring contractual requirements are met and/or exceeded.

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrable experience of motivating and supporting individuals with multiple and complex needs to overcome barriers and progress towards education, training and employment.
  • Maintenance of professional boundaries and work with and manage challenging behaviour and situations
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively, to meet targets/contractual requirements, within timescales and resource.
  • Willingness to work flexibly across the region, travel to cover other community and/or custodial establishments as required.
