Senior Solution Architect (Fraud Monitoring)

We are seeking a dedicated and driven Solution Architect to join us on this journey in the Fraud Monitoring Domain. The successful candidate will work across a range of technologies both on premise and cloud as well as working with vendors providing specialist Fraud monitoring capabilities.

In this Role, you will:

Be a key member of the IT Engineering & Delivery Solution Design team and will work closely with other Senior Technical/Solutions Architects on principles, standards, and roadmaps. You will contribute to continuous improvements of the wider Technology team.

  • Design end-to-end solutions to meet business needs within the context of a broader solution implementation.
  • Work with the business and projects to help define and refine their requirements.
  • Contributor to overall solution planning, providing input into the estimation process as well as highlighting technical risks, issues, and assumptions.
  • Produce required design artefacts, independently or as part of a team.
  • Define and derive standard processes and contribute to the development of the overall architecture practice.
  • Present to the Bank's Architecture Review Board when vital.
  • Ensure solutions align with strategic architecture principles and direction.
  • Support delivery leadership to break down the solution so that it can be delivered incrementally.
  • Support and collaborate with other engineering functions, including integration and data factories, information security, build, test and release.
  • Review requirements and supervise change requests to ensure that the solution design is fit for purpose.

What will make you stand out?

You are an expert solution architect in designing solutions for large-scale projects and programmes working in sophisticated, multi-vendor change delivery organisations and have experience in Fraud Monitoring solutions. You have the ability to influence, design and deliver complex solutions in partnership with diverse partners for internal and external customers.

You have a broad knowledge of technologies across all domains including information, application, infrastructure, security, and cloud with technical depth in at least one domain.

Desirable Experience

  • Fraud Monitoring Engines - Featurespace products (ARIC) or other fraud monitoring engines as well as Fraud business domain knowledge and technologies
  • REST API design / SOAP services / Mulesoft Anypoint Platform / Swagger or RAML definitions / WebSphere MQ or Kafka
  • API security standards such as mutual authentication and OAuth and OIDC
  • IBM MQ /Message Broker/ sFTP & Connect:Direct
  • Payment domain knowledge - cross border, domestic payments, SWIFT messages, ISO20022, SEPA
  • Database technologies: MongoDB / SQL Server / PostgreSQL.
  • Exposure to technologies such as ElasticSearch, ELK, ServiceNow, Control-M, Application and service monitoring tools
  • IASA CITA-F / CITA-A / CITA-P or TOGAF Certification
