Senior Regional Building Surveyor

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Regional Building Surveyor to join the Estates' Team.
The main focus of this role is to deliver a professional Maintenance provision to our pub, hotel and bar portfolio. You will also have full line management responsibility of the Regional Building Surveyors within the team.
This is a field-based role and will require extensive travel across the region with weekly visits to our Wolverhampton Pub Support Centre. This opportunity comes with an industry leading bonus scheme, pension, healthcare, fabulous salary, and car allowance!
Have you got what it takes?
- Line Management responsibility, including but not limited to 121's, appraisals, advice, and guidance when required & budget management
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of reactive and compliance-based repairs across all pub and bar formats
- Delivery of schedules of dilapidations and larger scale maintenance projects
- Delivery of our initial works (change of occupier) programme within the region
- Ability to diagnose building issues and formulate proposals to resolve, whilst considering the impact on the operation of the site
- Advise regarding Statutory requirements, maintenance implications and other risks
- Contract Management responsibilities including regular reviews, monitoring service standards, auditing completed work and dispute resolution
- Liaising with statutory bodies (i.e., Fire Officer, EHO, etc.) to ensure resolution of actions raised
What you'll bring to the table -
- A degree, HND or equivalent experience
- Experience in people management
- Experience in contractor management
- Member of RICS, CIOB (desirable but not essential)
- A strong team player with excellent communication skills
- Strong record of financial control and budget management
- Sound experience in the licensed, leisure or retail sectors
- Possess excellent commercial awareness and understanding of compliance
- Able to communicate and influence effectively with a range of internal and external customers
- Enjoys working in a busy team environment or in isolation
- Ability to travel throughout our estate
- Use of IT systems to record and monitor data and other management reporting systems
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise your workload and work under own initiative
