Head of PR

Up to 12 months from mid-Feb 2025

We have an exciting fixed-term maternity cover available for an experienced Head of PR. You'll join our Corporate Affairs team and lead the Public Relations strategy and execution. You'll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the company's reputation, overseeing external communications, and ensuring a cohesive public narrative across all media channels. Location: London-based, hybrid working applies with minimum of 3 days in the office required. Option to work 4 or 5 days per week.

Where do you fit in?

You'll report to the VP of Corporate Affairs and manage and execute our PR Strategy and agenda. You'll be laser-focused in discovering PR opportunities which contribute ideas for creative campaigns within PR and other marketing channels. You'll manage media and influencer relations and act as the primary point of contact for press inquiries and media opportunities across digital and print. This includes creating compelling press releases, media kits, and other PR materials to effectively communicate key messages. You'll use your meticulous eye for detail to lead teams when responding to high-profile customer and media issues, while also working closely with the Leadership Team to provide external comms solutions that support business change and align with business needs. Additionally, you'll produce weekly PR updates, manage our PR Agency and brief senior spokespeople on communicating with the media.

What do you need to succeed?

• You'll be a charismatic Head of PR with experience across proactive and reactive communication strategies and crisis communication scenarios.
• Your background could be either in-house or an agency.
• Experience handling high profile media queries, working cross-functionally and with a superlative attention to detail.
• Excellent inter-personal skills for developing relationships with media representatives, handling challenging situations and advising senior leaders.
• Experience of handling social media communities, including dealing with online crisis situations.
• You'll be calm headed, resilient, with the gravitas and experience to rise to the occasion.
