Do you have experience with statistical techniques for insurance claims cost modelling? We're seeking a Senior Pricing Analyst to join our Retail Pricing team here at AXA UK. You'll deliver analyses and projects that continually improve the predictiveness of our risk pricing algorithms, turning models and insights into commercially sound pricing decisions. We have vacancies across our Motor and Home teams. It's an exciting time in our Pricing & Analytics department! Our transformation programme has recently been relaunched, aligned to AXA Retail's new Pricing & Analytics strategy. AXA are investing a lot in growing our department in size and capability - across our IT systems, analytical toolset and learning and development. We'd love to hear from motivated people who can help us deliver our commitments to our business, our customers, and our people.
Key responsibilities:
• Create, validate and reconcile datasets for analysis and undertake analysis by writing and manipulating code.
• Support in the creation, maintenance and deployment of rating models that predict claims cost.
• Contribute to the specification, development and testing cycles for deployment of rates.
• Consider the impact on customers of pricing actions and act to avoid any unfair treatment.
• Lead in producing and developing appropriate monitoring for pricing and other stakeholders.
• Provide technical underwriting and pricing support to assist the business in achieving its plans.
• Build strong relationships with managers, peers and stakeholders.
Work arrangements:
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events.
Your skills & experience:
• Experience in a related Insurance Pricing role is strongly preferred.
• Excellent numerical mathematical skills (a degree in a mathematics related discipline or evidence of equivalent proficiency).
• Knowledge of predictive modelling for claims cost.
• Ability to demonstrate high levels of problem-solving skills and initiative.
• Advanced level knowledge of products such as Python, SQL, Databricks and geographic analysis tools is desirable.
• Knowledge of tool such as Python, R, SAS, SQL or other analytical language/tools are desirable.
• An understanding of machine learning techniques.
• An awareness of appropriate statistical techniques for insurance analysis.
