Senior Portfolio Analyst

Join us as a Senior Portfolio Analyst and help drive the Commercial Lines transformation, build next-generation digital pricing capabilities, and own pricing governance for Property, Casualty, and Motor auto-rated products across open market, direct, and software-house channels.

You'll collaborate with Pricing, Underwriting, IT Change, e-Commerce, Operations, and external software houses and brokers, and you'll be responsible for product performance analytics, designing rating structures, maintaining governance documentation, and delivering pricing.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead the Commercial Lines pricing transformation, delivering next-gen pricing capabilities on platforms, data and modelling systems.
• Develop and own robust pricing reviews for profitable development of Property, Casualty and Motor auto-rated products across open market, direct and software-house channels.
• Produce regular Product Performance reports (GWP, New Business, Conversion, Retention, Loss Ratio, COR) with insights, trends and actionable recommendations.
• Review underwriting criteria and rating structures across all markets and channels; implement improvements with appropriate governance.
• Maintain and build pricing models using Radar and Emblem Software.
• Manage rating changes through the IT change process; coordinate with e-Commerce and external testing agencies; act as pricing IT liaison for queries.
• Contribute to the development of more sophisticated rating engines to support growth and profitability objectives.
What you'll bring:

• ACII or numeracy qualification (or working towards) would be advantageous
• Strong numeracy and quantitative skills; proficient in data analysis and interpretation
• Insurance industry experience with small commercial Property, Casualty and Motor products
• Knowledge of broker environment, software houses, market trends and competitor activity
• Knowledge of IT change processes and AXA-like systems; Radar/Emblem knowledge would be advantageous
• Proficiency in SAS, Excel, Word, PowerPoint; excellent data manipulation and reporting skills
• Strong analytical, presentation, influencing and stakeholder-management skills
• Track record of delivering change and driving results; ability to coach and develop others
