Senior Platform Engineer

As a Senior Platform Engineer, we are looking for someone to provide:

• Support of hybrid on-premise and cloud technology infrastructure:
• Technical support for all existing and new technologies within both cloud and on-premise environments
• Implement, develop and support the desktop, including laptops & tablets, server, SAN and software infrastructure estate ensuring test and roll out plans are signed off before implementation
• Monitor and maintain all environments to ensure agreed system availability, performance and security is maintained
• Provide technical knowledge, expertise and consultancy on platform engineering work
• Lifecyle management of technology platforms
• Analyse incident trend information to drive change to processes, procedures, systems and services.
• Mentor more junior members of the team

Qualifications

Preferred experience:

• A flexible and adaptable approach to working
• Experience of working in an enterprise environment
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure platforms and tooling.
• Excellent understanding of security and lifecycle management
• Experience in management of a Vmware virtualized environment
• Strong working knowledge of Backup Systems
• Strong understanding of Networking concepts

if you have/ can do the following, that would be a bonus.. but is not essetial!

• Usage of pipelines to manage control of production environments, including usage of Infrastructure as code platforms
• Solid Azure & Office 365 exposure
• Extensive Experience working in Enterprise Class Environments
• ITIL Qualified
