Position
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Associate or Associate Director to master your own success and to reap the rewards of your efforts. If you have broad experience leading teams and managing projects ideally with marine sector experience and a desire to excel in your career, then we would like to hear from you. This role can be at Associate or Associate Director level.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead the marine business development regionally and be a key point of contact for marine works in a number of strategic areas
- Responsible for client interface, technical direction, budgetary control and design team management.
- Management of relationships with key clients and contacts across the business including client liaison and development
- Management of projects within time, cost and quality constraints and standards
- Management of the day-to-day work of the team.
- Champions and promotes professional advice, guidance and support across the business
- Monitors and manages compliance and KPI's
- Business development & preparation of tender submissions
- Estimating, pricing and delivering against work targets
- Adheres to all Codes of Practice, Design Standards and Health and Safety Regulations
- Represent and promote ByrneLooby in a professional manner and develop effective working relationships with clients and potential clients
- Management of projects in compliance with ByrneLooby's Integrated Management System (IMS)
- Ensure project staff are aware of, and fully compliant with, the requirements of the IMS
Requirements
- Broad experience in marine structural design, coastal processes design, numerical modelling studies and an understanding of environmental engineering
- Proven track record in developing and maintaining client relationships
- Demonstrate an ability to understand complex problems and to conceive innovative solutions
- Can effectively communicate with clients, colleagues and outside agencies and build effective working relationships, always aiming to exceed client expectations
- Is committed to Continued Professional Development and remains up-to-date with current developments in the industry
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum of 12 years experience industry experience
- Has achieved Chartered status
- A Degree and/or Masters in Civil, Structural, Coastal or Marine Engineering
