Senior Infra Designer

What is the opportunity?

This is a great opportunity to work as an infrastructure solution architect responsible for the design of enterprise class solutions working within an infrastructure design team. Our Group Infra Designer team are expanding to meet the infrastructure design demands of the bank as we are in a significant period of digital transformation.

In this Role, you will

• Design secure, highly resilient solutions based on bank standards, guidelines and frameworks.
• Proactively suggest and implement improvements to the banks infrastructure.
• Work with the business to translate business requirements to solution requirements.
• Influence the various policies and procedures which govern infrastructure design from inception through to delivery to continually improve the process.
• Align partners within the bank to ensure that everybody knows what is achievable and what can be delivered.
• Create and maintain architectural design documents which include technical drawings.
• Suggest and implement reusable design patterns.

What will make you stand out?

You have a strong track record of achieving technical/business projects and solutions, and have experience in using agile methodologies. You manage 3rd parties as part of programme delivery and work with offshore teams in the delivery of these programmes.

Experience in the following will make you stand out:

• Leading an infrastructure team in a bank or large blue chip organisation where meeting security, business, process and operational needs simultaneously are of paramount importance.
• Ability to interpret Enterprise Architecture to ensure that the solutions meet the strategic direction of the bank.
• SME with broad technical knowledge in architecting and designing infrastructure solutions involving compute, storage and networking components including integration between various different types of environments e.g. AWS>>Azure>>VMWARE etc.
• Quickly adapting to the business needs, prioritisation of tasks and time management are very important.
• Ability to understand and articulate detailed technical issues to key business and technical partners.

Group Infra Design (GID) have the capabilities to design infrastructure solutions with an enterprise lens.

GID works with all of the design and delivery partners to ensure that designs are delivered in a cost effective practical manner that can be used as the building builds for solutions to be onboarded to them.

This is a hybrid onsite role and can be done anywhere in the Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as Dublin. Travel will be required for in-person collaboration - exact frequency to be agreed with manager. #LI-HYBRID #IJ-HYBRID
