Senior ER Consultant - 12m FTC

We're looking for an experienced Employee Relations Consultant to join our dynamic ER team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, supporting line managers across the business on a wide variety of complex and high-volume employee relations cases. This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in guiding managers through sometimes challenging circumstances and acting as a trusted advisor, voice of reason, and ER expert.

With each Consultant managing between 70-90 live cases, you'll need to be highly organised, detail-driven, and calm under pressure. You'll also work closely with HR Business Partners and external stakeholders such as solicitors, occupational health providers and ACAS to achieve the best outcomes for our people and the business.

What you will be doing -

  • Manage a complex caseload of ER cases (UK Group and Gibraltar), escalating high-risk matters to the Team Leader when required.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for high-risk cases and support other ERCs with complex matters.
  • Collaborate with Team Leaders on training needs across the business and legislative updates.
  • Work on early conciliation (ACAS EC) cases and support with settlement agreements as required.
  • Review and amend high-risk case documentation, including formal letters and meeting notes.
  • Conduct audits and reporting across key ER metrics such as case durations, suspensions, and long-term sickness.
  • Support system management in CCM/Empower (e.g., note removal, issue escalation) and assist with supplier setup and invoicing.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement through project work and ad hoc support for the ER Team Leader
