Senior Compliance Manager - Monitoring

Description

We're seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Compliance Manager to join AXA - Global Healthcare (AGH) and play a pivotal role in enhancing our Compliance Monitoring activities. You'll work closely with the Compliance Monitoring Manager, to execute our thematic monitoring programme, conducting in-depth assessments across various business areas, identifying opportunities for development and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Your expertise will be essential in forming insightful opinions on compliance matters and presenting actionable recommendations to senior managers and key stakeholders. Additionally, you'll support our broader assurance monitoring activities, including core compliance support, management information, data-driven assessments, and targeted assurance initiatives. Join us in fostering a culture of compliance excellence and driving continuous improvement within the organisation.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. We're also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.

What you'll be doing:

• Support the Compliance Monitoring Manager in delivering the agreed monitoring plan and implementing necessary changes.
• Assist in the thematic monitoring programme by collating and assessing information against regulatory requirements, engaging with business experts, and conducting investigations.
• Communicate findings from thematic monitoring activities in a timely manner.
• Propose innovative approaches to enhance monitoring activities.
• Develop and collate management information and data for Compliance Monitoring, providing additional challenge and investigation as needed.
• Log and track the completion of required actions within the business, supporting management discussions on action closure.
• Engage with and enhance the Compliance Monitoring methodology and processes, contributing to the development of the Compliance Monitoring plan.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders for effective communication and resolution of compliance issues, and assist with regulatory reporting (e.g. RMAR) when necessary.

What you'll bring:

• Quick and accurate assimilation of complex information.
• Detailed technical understanding of Insurance Conduct of Business rules and regulatory requirements.
• Good awareness of the financial services industry, with a preference for health insurance experience.
• Strong influencing and communication skills to develop professional relationships and challenge tactfully.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Understanding of roles and responsibilities within the business and interactions among functions.
• Self-driven and proactive approach to work.
• Effective report writing and general written communication skills, with experience in second line Compliance or Risk functions and knowledge of risk management frameworks.
