What is the opportunity?
This is a fantastic opportunity to support the delivery teams in our Data Solutions team through the full software development lifecycle using the Scrum framework. The role will involve facilitating daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and planning meetings.

In this Role, you will
- Facilitate the Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand up, sprint retrospectives and team-based release planning
- Ensure all artefacts are maintained and meet standards
- Facilitate estimation of delivery effort to drive prioritisation planning
- Remove team impediments to ensure the team deliver on commitments
- Continual refinement and improvements to scrum and change processes
- Champion on the Agile/Scrum practices to those who do not yet fully understand the way of working within multi-functional teams, so they can increase and improve the adoption of Scrum in the organisation
- Measuring progress and monitoring performance of their squads
- Effective backlog management to ensure backlog items are clearly prioritised and understood by the squads
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key business partners and Product Owners
- Demonstrate project management experience to ensure planning, prioritisation and delivery standards are maintained
- Assist in planning deliverables while supervising team performance to ensure defined business and technical objectives are meet within agreed time, cost and quality standards.
What will make you stand out?
You have 4+ years' demonstrable experience as a Scrum Master, working on delivering technical solutions and within a continuous software delivery environment. You have management experience within a complex business environment, including leading and influencing substantial numbers of non-direct reports and multiple 3rd party suppliers.
You can facilitate team learning and continuous improvement in operating Scrum and in implementing and improving relevant engineering practices. You have a deep understanding of IT Industry standard methodology in Agile software delivery and solid experience of the end to end Agile SDLC. You have experience of Agile governance, operating models and stakeholder management in a large complex environment.
Any of the following will help you to stand out but is not necessary in order to apply for this role;
- Scrum Master Certified
- Third level degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Our growing and exciting Data Engineering team provides the engineering services for the Group's Enterprise Data Warehouse and Enterprise Data Lake. We sit within the Group Data & Analytics Office which is the core team for all things data in the bank.
We deliver the data elements to support Digital, Customer, Regulatory and other change initiatives that drive the Group's transformation agenda.
We have fully embraced agile software engineering and a DevOps mentality and operate in a highly collaborative team environment.
