Scrum Master

What is the opportunity?

Your primary responsibility will be to guide and mentor cross-functional development teams, ensuring that they adhere to Agile principles and improve their productivity and efficiency. Your expertise in Scrum practices, collaboration, and servant leadership will be key in driving projects to success.

In this role, you will:

  • Coach and mentor team members on Agile methodologies, facilitating their understanding and adoption of Scrum principles, values, and practices and ensuring their actions are aligned with the project goals / vision
  • Identify trade-offs between short- and long-term benefits to drive shared vision between the team and product owner
  • Develop a continuous learning environment helping teams to inspect & adapt promoting open and clear communication, trust, and accountability
  • Act as a servant leader and facilitator for one or more Agile teams, ensuring adherence to Scrum principles and practices
  • Coordinate and lead Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, encouraging effective communication and collaboration

What will make you stand out?

Proven experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile software development environment, preferably within the FinTech industry, with an understanding of Agile and Scrum principles.

You will be Proficient in using Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) to lead project progress and have a passion for delivering high-quality software products and driving successful project outcomes

An ideal candidate will also have technical experience working with various technology stacks, mentoring development teams and encouraging a culture of continuous improvement. A strong problem solver with the ability to navigate complex situations and actively engage and influence team members at all levels.

Group Change is responsible for end-to-end delivery of change across Bank of Ireland's services. This function works closely with Bank of Ireland collaborators to shape and deliver change and enables the Bank to evolve its delivery capability to suit best how it serves Bank of Ireland customers.

The Scrum Master will be responsible for supporting change delivery teams through the full software development lifecycle using the Scrum framework. You will bring the Product Owner and the team together and help them understand each other.
