Key accountabilities

  • Assist in the check-in and check-out process for guests, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience.
  • Support the front desk team with guest inquiries, requests, and complaints, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Gain hands-on experience in room allocation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with guest preferences and reservation details.
  • Learn about hotel systems and software, such as property management systems (PMS), to support front desk operations and guest service processes.
  • Shadow housekeeping staff to understand room cleaning procedures, quality standards, and inventory management practices.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops on guest service etiquette, communication skills, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Assist in conducting room inspections to identify maintenance issues, safety hazards, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate and shadow other departments, such as concierge and guest services, to ensure guest needs are met and operational efficiency is maintained.
  • Take part in special projects and initiatives related to rooms division operations, such as guest satisfaction surveys, or sustainability programs.
