What is the opportunity?
A fantastic opportunity to join the Retail UK Risk Management Framework (RMF) Delivery Team to implement the Group's RMF across the Division as part of the Group RMF Implementation Programme.
You will support in the delivery of risk policy implementation, standardising controls and enhancing the control environment, and the operational implementation of process led risk management.
Working in an exciting dynamic programme delivery environment you will further develop your network and business knowledge, spanning multiple teams and business units across the Bank of Ireland Group.
Travel will be required as part of the role, the successful candidate can be based in Belfast, Bristol or London.
Please note this is a 12 month fixed term contract position.
In this role you will:
- Creation of governance committee packs and representing Retail UK at governance committees ensuring key risks, issues and dependencies in relation to successful implementation are escalated to Senior Management. .
- Support the Retail UK RMF Delivery Lead and input into update papers and submissions for Board/Ex Co/ERC/RORC/BMC in relation to the delivery progress and implementation of the plan for Retail UK.
- Establish collaborative relationships with Business and Risk stakeholders, ensuring timelines are managed and risks/issues are escalated.
- Establish and lead ad hoc working groups/initiatives as agreed with the Retail UK RMF Delivery Lead.
- Establish and implement methods to track progress of implementation across Business Units.
- Advise Business Units on the design of new or updated KeRisk Indicators and Controls, and adequacy of existing ones in place to mitigate Operational, Conduct and Regulatory risks.
- Provide risk expertise to the Business Unit teams, embedding and supervising the use of risk tools and frameworks within their operating processes
What will make you stand out?
- Strong Risk Management experience
- Current knowledge of regulatory and industry guidelines within Financial Services
- Understanding of standard processes for risk management and mitigation within financial services
- Background within Financial Services, Operations, or Risk Analysis with a good understanding of the operational risk frameworks
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, specifically in written and oral communication
- Strong report writing, presentation and verbal communication skills with excellent proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
