Do you have expertise in Risk Management Frameworks and experience in engaging with business areas to deliver first class risk management practice? We're recruiting for two Risk Oversight Manager - Business Risk and Controls roles to play a key role in driving a robust and resilient risk culture throughout AXA UK Health. You'll deepen the capability of the Health business to understand and manage its risk, identify and embed effective controls, whilst maintaining a strong and pervasive focus on positive business and customer outcomes. Reporting to our Head of Business Risk and Controls, you'll support the business in strengthening its risk and control framework. You'll focus on day-to-day risk identification, assessment and mitigation, and oversee and develop the AXA Health control environment to ensure it supports business strategy and financial plans within the regulatory landscape in which the business operates.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. What you'll be doing:
• You'll embed the Risk and Controls Framework, driving a consistent approach and fostering a risk-based decision-making culture alongside the Head of Business Risk and Controls.
• Work with stakeholders within the business to appropriate manage identified risks, causes and ensure that controls are adequately mapped and described.
• Lead risk and control meetings providing insight on MI and reporting, attending key local risk committees, supporting on Board and Risk Committee reporting and ensuring risk-based decision making.
• Lead and embed the roll out of a formal Risk and Control Self-Assessment Programme (RCSA) and support the business with developing robust return to tolerance plans where required.
• Cross-functional workshops to map end-to-end processes, uncover control weaknesses, systemic failure points, and inform risk mitigation, control or change enhancements, and continuous improvement actions.
• Develop the business areas to comply with key risk frameworks, including Incident Management, risk acceptance procedures, and remediation activities.
• Working alongside the Conduct and Compliance team to Lead engagement between 1st line Risk and Internal Audit and Compliance Monitoring.
• Identify opportunities for greater efficiency, simplification of controls and automation of control and support business case development for investment.

What you'll bring:
• Experience of Risk Management Frameworks (IMMMR) and ability to engage with business areas to deliver first class risk management practice.
• Stakeholder management and influencing skills including an ability to appropriately disseminate information to a variety of audiences and provide 1st line challenge.
• Understanding of relevant Insurance / Healthcare regulation and supervisory expectations (FCA / PRA) for large complex financial institutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to determine the content of key risk and control reporting to stakeholders including board and risk committee members.
• Analytical skills such as the ability to analyse key risk indicators (KRI's) and determine where action is needed.
• Commercial and pragmatic outlook, able to work at pace, respond quickly to change and remain delivery focussed.
