We are looking to hire a self-motivated and adaptable risk professional who will work closely with the wider business (operations and various functional key-stakeholders), as well as externally with auditors and regulatory bodies to support the achievement of business targets and objectives, to comply with and fulfil regulatory obligations and expectations.

The ideal candidate will be confident, personable and detail oriented with solid organizational skills. They will be able to effectively and proactively exercise good judgment and partner with the business in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and enhance the risk management framework of the regulated entities in the EMEA region, maintaining a focus on significant risks and related control mechanisms and developing policies/procedures for risk identification, risk matrix, risk appetite, risk management, assessment, monitoring and reporting, including KRIs;
  • Conducts regular risk assessments on the entities in the EMEA region;
  • Manages and prepares all documentation related to risk assessments and reviews of standard operating procedures;
  • Support the Enterprise Risk Management in the overall effective and proactive management of risk and controls to ensure quality of risk control system;
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure existing Risk Management Framework is regularly updated and maintained;
  • Proactively identify shortcomings in the regulated entities risk and control framework, policies and procedures;
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant industry regulations and ensure that risk management practices are in line with applicable laws and/or industry practices;
  • Drive, discuss and challenge, when necessary, risk assessment and adequacy of controls performed by stakeholders whilst building strong and constructive relationships with stakeholders;
  • Design and implement risk metrics to highlight the risk exposure of Ant International in the region (AML, Anti-Fraud, Data, Technology, Accounting, Regulatory Reporting, Customer Duty...);
  • Promote awareness of risk among stakeholders and senior management and conduct training programs on risks trends to strengthen risk culture;
  • Independently review and enhance the quality of Ant International management oversight on risk topics;
  • Delivers regular risk analysis reports to Ant International management complete with actionable plans for avoiding or preventing potential threats at all levels;
  • Evaluate employees' risk awareness and train them when necessary;
  • Develop and maintain the entity-level risk registers;
  • Manage the operations of Risk Management Committees in the EMEA region;
  • Where appropriate, co-ordinate and escalate significant incidents in order to minimise the consequences and facilitate the remediation.

What we're looking for:

  • Significant risk management or second line of defence function in a regulated financial institution. Experience in operational risk and compliance and regulatory risk, will be of benefit to this role.
  • Commercial judgment and analytical mindset to make sound recommendations on risk issues.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a global, complex, and matrixed organisation to deliver results.
  • Working knowledge of the regulatory environment in which Ant International operates (especially in Luxembourg, Netherlands and the UK).
  • Autonomous, delivery-focused and able to work in a fast-paced environment and tight deadlines without compromising attention to details whilst being capable of elaborating synthesis.
  • Working experience in e-commerce, payments or financial services industry is preferred. Understanding of various payment products and risk and compliance issues related to payments.
  • Open to change as the team continually adopts strategy to meet evolving regulatory and controls landscape.
  • Chinese-speaker is preferred.
