The ever-changing complexity of the regulatory and business environment surrounding Non-Financial Risk and Regulatory (NFR) advice requires technical excellence and ingenuity to solve the issues currently facing the industry.

To respond to the challenge that the industry presents, we are growing our NFR advisory team to provide more focus on Market Conduct, Trade and Transaction Reporting, Product Governance and Regulatory Compliance Operating Models. As part of our rapidly growing team, you will provide high quality consulting advice to the capital markets sector (including clients operating in the investment and corporate banking, fintech and crypto/digital assets space), helping clients to anticipate and understand regulatory and policy change. You will also have the opportunity to work with a host of prestigious organisations available through our extensive network. Some of the key responsibilities for this role include:

• Providing high quality consulting advice and helping clients to anticipate and understand regulatory and policy change.
• Helping to shape and grow the business through by providing leadership of, (i) proposition development, (ii) eminence pieces and (iii) leading our relevant industry forums.
• Supporting the analysis of the market pipeline and understanding the potential impact of regulatory developments on our client's businesses.
• Having a clear understanding of the firm's commitment to creating a more inclusive culture.

Connect to your skills and professional experience

To qualify for this role, you will have:

• A proven track record in the understanding regulations that impact the wholesale sector and the implementation of solutions to address market conduct, conflicts of interest, trade and transaction reporting, product governance and the governance requirements for a compliance function.
• Have gained experience in either, a consulting, in house compliance, regulatory operations or business analysis covering the areas mentioned above.
• Exposure to the risks and nuances associated with multiple capital markets products and business models including markets, banking and security services.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills with experience facing external clients or internal stakeholders.
• Have an entrepreneurial mindset and aptitude for developing sales opportunities with clients, including the development of solutions and value adding propositions and taking these to market.
• Have an orientation to deliver quality solutions for our clients and awareness of the risk management processes in place at global consulting firms.
• Degree and / or relevant professional qualification and / or significant relevant consulting or industry expertise.

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
