What is the opportunity?
A great opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to support the ongoing success and transformation of the Enterprise Integration team as a Release Engineer that will co-ordinate and deliver multiple releases across our Consumer Digital Channels.
You will operate in a team of like-minded professionals with a broad range of experience and backgrounds across IT and the Business. Working in the central office allows you to help shape, guide and establish the ways of working and engagement model with other areas in the bank.
In this role, you will:
- Manage the Release Delivery of Consumer Digital Channel releases and scheduling of API releases across a number of Value Streams
- Engage with the Bank's Change Management Function and ensuring that all Deployments follow rigorously the Path to Live process currently in place
- Represent Enterprise Integration at all Change Management Forums and ensuring the Release schedule is clearly understood by all Key Stakeholders in the Banks IT Operations area
- Establish a network with External Vendors and IT Support teams to ensure visibility of all Deployments and where necessary resources are available to execute deployments
- Identify and implement any improvements in the Release procedures as part of the Overall Release strategy
- Actively participate in the Service Transition process from Change to Operation team
What will make you stand out?
You can demonstrate strong experience in an IT function in release management, including experience of API releases. You have an understanding of Change and IT programme / project deliveries and the ability to use that knowledge to support processes and activities to ensure requirements are met effectively and efficiently. In this role, you will be expected to take a proactive approach, demonstrating the ability to anticipate requirements and problems and developing and implementing solutions
You are innovative with a continuous improvement mindset and have credibility and confidence working with partners across the organisation. We are looking for a candidate with an open attitude to change and who will have a proven ability to thrive under pressure and operate in a decisive and expansive manner. You will need to be an excellent organiser with a determination to succeed and a desire for professional excellence

At Bank of Ireland, our IT Engineering and Delivery team are accountable for the delivery of IT Change Solution across the business.
As part of our Enterprise Integration team, you are responsible for delivering IT Solutions across a number of Channels and Value Streams as part of the Bank's IT Engineering Function.
This is a hybrid role and can be done anywhere in the Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as Dublin. Travel will be required for in person collaboration exact frequency to be agreed with manager.
