Regulatory Reporting Senior Associate

What is the opportunity?

This is a key role for UK Personal Savings with responsibility for regulatory reporting requirements under the PRA Deposit Guarantee Scheme. A critical component of the role is ensuring that BOIUK are in a position to meet the regulatory requirement to provide to the FSCS a 'Single Customer View' (SCV) of all qualifying deposits held by BOIUK within 24 hrs of a request being received from either the FSCS or the PRA.

Please note this is a 12 month position.

In this role you will:

  • Conduct monthly data quality checks to ensure alignment with agreed UK Board data quality tolerances.
  • Provide monthly update (report) to the Savings BMC/ UK Data Management Board
  • Lead relationship with 3rd party supplier to identify and drive continual improvements
  • Work with Stakeholders/Business Units to oversee the remediation of customer data quality, and gain buy-in from key stakeholders to change systems / processes to make lasting enhancements
  • Own delivery of SCV 24hr testing processes
  • Liaise with 1st, 2nd and 3rd line to demonstrate effective governance and regulatory compliance
  • Pro-actively monitor external changes to ensure continued compliance
  • Own BSSI and FATCA regulatory reporting

What will make you stand out?

  • Experience of regulatory / external reporting within Financial Services
  • Demonstrable understanding of the Deposit Guarantee Scheme (DGS)
  • The ability and tenacity to interpret, challenge data / trends, drive continuous process improvement, and solve complex issues
  • Ability to lead on projects with external 3rdparties to drive improvements in both data quality and reporting
  • Strong presentation skills to senior audiences, and governance forums.

Experience with any of the following will help you to stand out but is not necessary in order to apply for this role:

  • Experience in coding, especially SQL - or a willingness to learn.
  • A willingness to get 'hands-on' with investigating incomplete, inaccurate or poor data and under taking appropriate remedial activity, or influencing others to take ownership

UK Personal Savings business is part of Savings & Lending business unit and has full profit and loss, customer experience, risk and regulatory responsibilities for all Consumer Savings products sold under Post Office and Bank of Ireland UK in the UK, including Northern Ireland.
