Registered Pharmacist - Part Time

Description

Are you an experienced Pharmacist? AXA Health's Support Team is a medical information helpline, made up of nurses, midwives, counsellors and pharmacists, providing expert help to our customers whatever their healthcare needs. When our customers have a health question, it's good to know there's someone to talk things through, day or night. Whatever the need, our medical professionals are here to put minds at ease, so they are not worrying a minute more than they must.

You'll provide expert medical support and guidance. Part of an experienced and established team, you'll have the opportunity to be part of the team's evolution and improve services for our customers. You'll be provided with all the necessary equipment and training to carry out the role. There will be regular opportunities for professional updating for your ongoing registration requirements.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work most shifts from home but will need to work from our Tunbridge Wells office on a Tuesday, once every 4 weeks. Additional ad-hoc office days may be required. When working from home, you'll need a quiet, private space to work from where you won't be overheard. You'll receive a 7.5% shift allowance.

Working Hours & Shift Pattern:

Part time, 4-week rota pattern. You'll work every Tuesday 12.30pm - 8pm and Friday 12pm - 8pm. Once every 4 weeks, you'll also work Sunday 8am - 12pm.

Induction & Training:

There's a comprehensive paid induction for this role. For the initial 2 weeks, you'll spend 4 days in our Tunbridge Wells office (8.30am - 5.00pm), with the rest of your induction done remotely.

What you'll be doing:

• Provide high quality, empathetic guidance on a broad range of pharmaceutical issues (e.g. medication usage, interactions and storage, vaccinations etc) to members and non-members both over the phone, by email and through the online system, whilst strictly adhering to the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPSGB) code of ethics.
• Maintain various helplines and services within service levels, offering callers relevant help and information daily and in line with defined hours of business.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Act as a clinical expert and role model, providing specialist knowledge and assistance to colleagues.
• Know the systems, processes and procedures required to carry out your role, including how to appropriately implement complaint handling procedures as per the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and AXA Health guidance, data protection, and medical confidentiality (including robust consent procedures), to protect our members and AXA Health from unnecessary liability.
• Take ownership and continuously develop your professional skills, including enhancement of your clinical knowledge in relevant fields.
• Coach non-clinical peers.

What you'll bring:

• Current registration as a Pharmacist with GPhC and the RPSGB.
• Broad range of post basic professional experience and expertise.
• Able to evidence on-going professional development.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
• Willing to undertake new challenges and work flexibly with great problem-solving skills.
• Enjoy the personal satisfaction of making a difference through the outstanding service you provide to your customers and working within an exciting team.
