We have afantastic opportunity for an Associate Director to join the Real Estate team inour Bristol office. In this role you will have the opportunity to work onvaried, high quality work for top clients with a particular focus on land anddevelopment work.

The practice

We have made a long-term investment in our real estate practice bothin the UK and internationally, offering extensive expertise in residential-leddevelopment, regeneration, RE investment, RE funds, logistics, studentaccommodation, commercial development, telecommunication, utilities &energy and retail.

Developers relyon our strong expertise to see their developments through from concept tocompletion. We provide comprehensive advice across the entire project lifecycleand our team operate across areas from strategic land projects and immediate acquisitionsthrough to affordable housing, build to rent / PRS sales, site set up,management structures and infrastructure agreements to name a few.

The practice issupplemented by strong real estate litigation, construction, planning, tax andplots / site set up departments and by OC Solutions, our award winning in-houselegal innovations and technology team - all of which form part of ourpowerhouse development practice.

Our clients

Our practicecentres on Living and Regeneration and we act for numerous market-leading developerand promoter clients (both PLC and SME businesses) on a national, multi serviceline panel basis. Our list of clients is impressive and includes - Barratt,Vistry, Crest, Taylor Wimpey, St Modwen, Places for People, Welbeck, Ptarmigan,Wates, Sovereign, Bloor, U&I, GLP, DTZ, Patrizia, Mirastar, M&G, CanaryWharf Group, Vodafone, PGIM, British Land and Greystar, to name a few.

The team

The real estateteam is made up of over 80 lawyers, plus 21 Partners in the UK. The team workscollaboratively in client teams across our UK offices and the Bristol teamcomprises a large number of partners and experienced lawyers, running some ofour largest client relationships. Michelle McGurl (Partner) leads the developmentteam and is the UK Practice Group Head for Projects, Real Estate and Finance.

Technicalskills and experience

Due to thegrowth of the business and practice we are looking to appoint an AssociateDirector deal with a broad range of development matters as part of ourmarket-leading team.

Experience ofdealing with residential-led development work and strategic land projects(options, promotion agreements) is desirable, although not essential and we arewilling to consider candidates with more or less experience.
