We have a fantastic opportunity for either a Senior Associate or an Associate Director to join our Real Estate team in any of our UK offices (London, Reading or Bristol), focussing on Real Estate Finance work.
The practice
Osborne Clarke is a market leader in real estate finance, offering extensive experience as counsel to both lenders and borrowers. Our client base includes domestic and international banks, real estate debt funds, and a variety of alternative lenders. The firm excels in handling complex, multi-jurisdictional transactions, with collaboration between specialist teams in real estate, banking, tax, corporate finance, planning and construction to deliver bespoke and highly responsive client service.
Our breadth of sector-focused knowledge enables us to advise on major investment deals and complex development facilities, across a diverse range of asset classes such as logistics, retail, hotels, residential, student accommodation and senior living.
Through our sector approach, we take time to understand the markets in which we operate. This gives us the ability to provide the commercial advice which our clients value, whilst remaining legally robust.
The team
Based across all of our UK offices (London, Reading & Bristol), the Real Estate department is made up of over 100 lawyers in total including 23 Partners. The team is also made up of 4 Legal Directors,16 Associate Directors, 20 Senior Associates, 23 Associates, 2 Consultants, 10 Paralegals, 7 Trainee Solicitors and 3 Solicitor Apprentices. This role will also work closely with our Banking team.
Technical skills and experience
We are looking to appoint a senior real estate lawyer with deep experience in Real Estate Finance matters and a desire to focus on this area as they build their career. We have a strong pipeline of high value deals to service across all asset classes including portfolio transactions, high value single asset deals, and development financing. We have a particular focus on Living (including BTR and PBSA) and Logistics. As part of the wider team you would also be working on non-finance matters, notably in relation to the acquisition and disposal of investment portfolios. Due to the growth of the business, nature of the work, and structure of the team we are looking to appoint a senior lawyer at Senior Associate or Associate Director level. However we are willing to consider candidates with more or less experience.
