Your new role

The Graduate Position supports you through a two year program supporting parts of our Power Division on Key contracts. You will be with a range of SME's and Operational teams that will give you guidance and support.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Assist in the measurement process of all quotations and tenders
  • Assist Project Manager with program of works
  • Gaining site experience working alongside engineers (to gain electrical engineering experience in the high voltage industry)
  • Working towards gaining ENWL and SPEN authorisation (access and measurements)
  • Assist in the preparation of any sub-contract tender action
  • Assist the operations team in capturing costs are accurate against the appropriate works budget
  • Assist in obtaining value for money through the best practice procurement with the supply chain
  • Use the management information system to track work progress and report on any contract KPI's
  • Assist with risk management and mitigation
  • Assist in the preparation of contract final accounts and support to the operational teams
  • Assist in the maintaining visibility of expenditure to ensure works are completed to budget
  • Assist in the management of contract applications for payment by clients

  • A customer focused individual who is a team player and a self-motivated

Desirable qualifications/ skills/ experience

  • Degree within Quantity Surveying or Electrical Engineering Degree
  • Drivers License (or working towards)
