We are looking for a Senior Associate to join our highly regardedProperty Disputes team in Bristol, rated by Chambers & Partners as anational leader outside London.

The practice
Ourspecialist Property Disputes lawyers excel in helping clients resolve all kindsof disputes ranging from all aspects of landlord and tenant to complex andhighly technical development and land rights disputes for telecom operators.The team handles cases at all levels of the Court system, as well as beforeTribunals and arbitration panels, in order to represent the interests ofclients. The practice also provides advice on risk mitigation and management inthe context of potential disputes and property related regulation.
Wehave a premier client base and support these clients on a range of marketleading cases. Clients include British Land, Barratt Homes, Marks &Spencer, Greystar, NGED (formerly known as Western Power Distribution),Cornerstone Telecommunications Infrastructure, Telefonica and Vodafone.

The team
Led by Leona Briggs who is rated in both Chambers and Partners andLegal 500, the team spans the Bristol and London offices; in Bristol we arecurrently comprised of 2 Partners, 1 Legal Director, 6 Associate Directors, 7Senior Associates, 5 Associates, 2 Trainee Solicitors, 7 Paralegals, a legalmanager and 2 Solicitor Apprentices. We work across office with our Reading andLondon colleagues and the team in those offices comprises 3 Partners, 2 LegalDirector, 3 Associate Directors, 3 Senior Associates, 1 Associates, 1 TraineeSolicitor, 1 Solicitor Apprentice and 1 Paralegal.
This role will primarily be supporting Leona Briggs and Emily VanSchalkwyk, the partners in the team.
Technical skills and experience
Due to the technical nature of the practice, we are lookingfor candidates who have worked within a recognised and respected PropertyLitigation team and have a good track record in managing a varied caseload. Youwill have strong drafting and legal technical skills and show an enthusiasm forgetting to know a client's sector as well as the relevant law. You will also beable to demonstrate collaborative team working as well as working on your ownmatters. Finally, evidence of having supervised more junior team members wouldalso be an advantage.
Experience required in tribunal litigation under the electroniccommunications code, particularly in taking an MSV under paragraph 26 of the codefrom service of notice through to trial, including advising on process,evidence and strategy, and client facing experience throughout. Also experiencerequired in tree lopping claims and the overlap between the 1954 Act renewalprocess and the code.
As a guide, due to the nature of the work and the structure of theteam, we are looking to appoint a Senior Associate in this area, although we willconsider candidates with more or less experience.
