What is the opportunity
To make a positive contributions to Banks strategy, leading the delivering of successful projects. You will have responsibility for delivering key business outcomes plus the autonomy to shape projects and find innovative solutions.
You will further develop your network and business knowledge, spanning multiple teams and business units across the organisations, by working on a variety of change projects. You will work closely with senior managers across the business including the UK Executive.
This will set you on a pathway to senior Project Manager and programme management.
In this role you will:
- Lead the planning and implementation of project, including carrying out risk assessments and managing project administration, including all documentation
- Ensuring effective project governance is in place, project adhere to UK Change Frameworks and effective reporting to senior management/senior stakeholders
- Be accountable for tracking project performance, project evaluations and results measurement and overall delivery of objectives vs plan.
- Responsible for planning and scheduling project timelines, coordinating project staff and resource planning and allocation.
- Drive lean improvement activities and continuous business improvements, working with business representatives.
- You must maintain relationships with BA/project team, business leads and senior stakeholders, project sponsor and 3rd parties.
What will make you stand out?
Possess excellent communication skills with experience building effective relationships and negotiating with senior stakeholders.
Have a proven track record of delivering change through both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, capable of creating and maintaining project and programme plans, including risks, actions, issues, dependencies.
You can deliver lean initiatives and continuous business improvements by building strong relationships with business contacts.
You can evidence strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate, motivate, and create a 'can do' atmosphere
You enjoy working in high pace, high pressure roles, evidencing an ability to respond flexibly to change in the moment

More about the team
This role is within UK Change, which is part of BOIUK's Change & Transformation function. UK Change are accountable for the management, prioritisation and implementation of key BOIUK change programmes. The UK Change team are the main interface with the wider Group change function and the first point of contact for new change items. The role holder will work alongside other Project Managers and the UK Change Management team to lead the successful delivery of a broad range of IT and business change outcomes for stakeholders across the business.
