What is the opportunity?
The Technology Risk and Security Portfolio is responsible for the delivery of two separate value streams of work aligned to separate business units, Core IT and Information Security platform. The team is accountable for the E2E delivery of Security programmes and Infrastructure Currency and Risk remediation programmes within the Systems transformation roadmap / Change Delivery portfolio in line with divisions / customer priorities and group strategy governed by Bank Delivery Method.
The successful candidate will plan, lead and deliver projects, from initiation to close, which meet agreed business and technical objectives within time, cost and quality standards.
In this role, you will:
- Handle project issues, risks, dependencies and change control within agreed processes and update case accordingly to ensure delivery of large technology projects results within the agreed scope
- Run technical upgrade or remediation programme results by being accountable for and make certain that all are to the appropriate levels of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the programme plan
- Plan the project and supervise its overall progress, resolving issues, initiating corrective action as appropriate and referring major issues upwards as necessary
- Handle the knowledge and skills transfer and own the operational activities of internal teams, partners, third parties, where appropriate i.e. providing mentorship, checking invoices, internal cross charging and confirming / signing-off work.
- Lead the end-end delivery of the project within the portfolio.
What will make you stand out?
You will have a demonstrable record of delivering technical infrastructure projects and have a solid grasp of the financial services sector. A strong applicant will be able to show their ability to engage with and leverage partners to deliver the projects.
Experience with any of the following will help you to stand out but is not vital in order to apply:
- Project Management qualification (PMP, PRINCE II)
- Project Management certifications (Agile, Scrum master etc)

This function works closely with Bank of Ireland collaborators to shape and deliver change and enables the Bank to evolve its delivery capability to suit best how it serves Bank of Ireland customers.

This is a hybrid role and can be done anywhere in the Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as Dublin. Travel will be required for in-person collaboration -exact frequency to be agreed with manager.
