Job Description

Our Customer is a leading force in the renewable energy sector, dedicated to powering homes and businesses with 100% clean energy. Through cutting-edge technology, we manage renewable resources like wind and solar, utilizing innovative data solutions to ensure energy availability when demand peaks.

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager with a proven track record in leading medium-to-large projects in the energy or supply chain domain. This role focuses on the delivery of projects that bring substantial business value through disciplined project execution and management of end-to-end system integrations. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders, technology teams, and third-party vendors to ensure project milestones are met on time, within scope, and budget, all while fostering a motivated, high-performing project team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee the full project lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes that align with business objectives.
  • Scope Management: Manage project scope using a structured change management process to deliver within agreed time, cost, and quality parameters, with a focus on business benefits.
  • Financial and Resource Planning: Develop and validate financial forecasts, track resources and expenditures, and provide ongoing budget reconciliation.
  • Risk Analysis: Proactively monitor and address risks and variances, escalating potential issues to ensure project objectives remain on track.
  • Stakeholder Communication and Change Management: Develop and execute targeted communication and change management plans to ensure stakeholder alignment and project success.
  • Benefit Realization and KPI Management: Define success metrics in collaboration with business stakeholders and track planned vs. actual benefits to assess value delivery.
  • Team Leadership: Build a motivated, high-performing team through effective coaching, delegation, and workload management.
  • Governance and Decision-Making: Establish governance structures to facilitate resource allocation, decision-making, and issue resolution.

Please note: This role requires a minimum of three days per week on-site presence in London.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or related field; advanced degrees or specialized certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) preferred.
  • 5+ years of commercial experience in a similar role.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of Trading & Supply business processes, with specific expertise in freight management and end-to-end process integration.
  • System Implementation Experience: Demonstrated experience with ETRM systems and E2E integration across multiple systems, including testing and cutover planning.
  • Agile Methodology Proficiency: Agile project experience with working knowledge of Agile frameworks, tools (e.g., VSTS), and certifications preferred.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills with experience coaching stakeholders and tailoring messages for diverse audiences.
  • Analytical and Financial Acumen: Skilled in applying business-specific metrics and KPIs, including ROI and benefits realization metrics.
  • Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, quickly resolve conflicts, and adapt to evolving project demands.
