The role

This Role: Project Manager - Full-Time Fixed Term Contract/ Internal Secondment (8 months minimum) - 37.5 hours per week

Location: Midlands NG9 1LA (Beeston) or London based with offices in EC1N 8JS (Hatton Garden) & TW1 3RP (Twickenham)

Salary Range: Midlands: £62,920 - £66,231 & London: £69,904 - £73,583

Overall Responsibility: As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple project initiatives and delivery teams. Your role involves planning and managing the discovery and delivery of technical solutions within agreed timescales. You'll collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide business improvement and project management support.

Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:

  • Oversee specific IT projects, monitoring progress, and reporting on progress to manage business expectations.
  • Provide expertise and leadership in project management methodologies (such as Prince2 or Agile PM) to ensure consistent delivery.
  • Guide third-party project managers engaged in delivering IT business projects.
  • Collaborate with our Suppliers, Applications Support Team, Infrastructure Team, Data Team and end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
  • Analyse and resolve issues that could impact performance or agreed-upon deliverables.
  • Provide change control for scope revisions.
  • Maintain interfaces and critical dependencies, regularly communicating project progress.
  • Deliver regular project status reports to the Portfolio, associated Project Boards and project teams, keeping the wider organisation informed via suitable internal communications.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews, identifying follow-up actions and lessons learned.
  • Manage the project budget throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Lead and manage large teams, including developers, Business Analysts/Partners, external suppliers, contractors, and business resources.

Personal Competencies / Skills / Experience / Knowledge:

  • Experience of working in the social housing sector ideal but not essential
  • Demonstrable track record of successful implementation of medium to large scale Technology projects
  • Previous experience of managing project budgets of up to £1M
  • Experience of SCRUM, Agile
  • Qualified Prince 2 Practitioner
  • Experience of managing project teams through matrix management
  • Experience of liaising and communicating effectively with both key business stakeholders and IT Business partners.
  • Experience of working with complex business applications
  • As a minimum, a working knowledge of information security polices, processes and procedures
  • Delivered successful cross-functional information technology projects

Working knowledge or experience of: ICT Governance, assurance and audit, Risk Management, Portfolio Management, IT Systems Procurement, Business Relationship Management, Business Engagement, Demand Management, Programme and Project Management, Programme and Project Execution.
